The Community Issue
We learn so much about community from the artists on the pages of this magazine. In issue #15, we explore family and community in the Portland music scene through Typhoon and the traditions of the local roots scene, including a very special home called the LaurelThirst. We hear new music from Fruition, Kyle Craft, Drowse, Salvatore Manalo and Reo Cragun, and let GLASYS school us on social media.
Join our Vortex
Just like a vortex in nature revolves around a central axis, our magazine revolves around our people—aka you! Become a member of the Vortex Access Party and get our mag mailed to your door as well as access to monthly contests for festival tickets, concert photography, vinyl and more!
You can also sign up for the Vortex Newsletter and a PDF of issue #15 will be delivered to your inbox!
See ya out there in Portland’s musical vortex!
