Every Thursday afternoon, Vortex and KINK team up to bring you new #PDXmusic on your radio airwaves at 101.9 FM. We've been serving up fresh local sounds all summer so it was an honor to invite two of our favorites from the past couple of months into the KINK Live Studio for a free happy hour sesh last Thursday evening.
Cosmic Americana rockers The Parson Red Heads played a set of tunes from their latest record, the Fluff & Gravy-released Blurred Harmony that came out in June. Full of Neil Young and Beatles vibes, watch below!
Starting things off, rising cinematic pop act TENTS played an offering of songs from their debut EP plus a few new ones—watch the set below.
And here's a fun fact about both of these acts: They're both headed up by husband-and-wife teams! While TENTS' Brian and Amy Hall found a sitter for their two little ones, Hall took one for the collective teams and watched Evan and Brette Marie Way's little Red Head during their set, which included walking a couple of laps around the building rather than catching the set. What a friend! CY
