Starting on the east side at the Bossanova, our scene’s preferred beer-swilling, stoner rawkers Red Fang kick off this year's Northwest Hesh Fest joined by reunited local noise makers Black Elk and Austin's American Sharks. As you make your way westward across the bridge for nights two and three at Dante's and the Star, maybe the fest’s soundtrack will help you bask in a dingier, still underground Portland of yore—if you can avoid the shadows of any massive high-rises that is.
