How about three of the heaviest, stoniest, sludgiest nights you can imagine along Burnside? Starting on the east side at the Bossanova, it all kicks off with our scene’s preferred beer-swilling, stoner rawkers Red Fang joined by the reunion of local noise makers Black Elk. As you make your way westward across the bridge for nights two and three at Dante's and the Star, maybe the fest’s soundtrack will help you bask in a dingier, still underground Portland of yore—if you can avoid the shadows of any massive high-rises that is. Prepare yourself for San Francisco stoner metal band Acid King celebrating the 20th anniversary of its revved-up sophomore record 'Busse Woods' with Stumptown doom stalwarts Witch Mountain, while hardcore punk lords Poison Idea will reportedly play their last-ever hometown show. Dead Moon’s Toody Cole will be on hand, giving a talk and signing books, as will rising locals Holy Grove, Wizard Rifle, Long Knife, Lord Dying and many, many more.
