Progressive heavy metal fans got to see one of the best when Periphery brought their Juggernaut Tour to Portland on Tuesday, January 27. On the night of their new double album's release (Juggernaut: Alpha and Juggernaut: Omega), Periphery unleashed a relentless 12-song set. The fans were into the high-tech guitars, driving backline and screaming vocals, all seen by the crowd surfing and a full-on mosh pit! This was my first time seeing Periphery, and although I wasn’t sure what to expect—which is always part of the excitement of live shows—I was impressed. A spectacular show.
