Loved and lauded Portland folk storytellers Blitzen Trapper will make their theatrical debut at The Armory when Portland Center Stage presents the world premiere of 'Wild and Reckless' this spring. Featuring fan favorites “Black River Killer,” “Below The Hurricane” and “Astronaut” alongside seven newly recorded songs (which you'll be able to find on a limited-edition LP soundtrack available exclusively at the performances), the rock-concert-meets-theater-performance will tell the "sci-fi dystopian love story" of "two kids on the run, in a futuristic vision of Portland’s past." Frontman Eric Earley has called it a 'Bonnie and Clyde'-slash-'Romeo and Juliet' experience that traces "the unforgettable stories of ordinary Americans caught in an extraordinary struggle to not get left behind," all while "evoking a bygone era of Portland." Previews begin March 16 (tickets $25-50), opening night is March 24 (tickets $25-65), and the whole production wraps on April 30.
