McMinnville band We Three is enjoying a meteoric rise in popularity due to a recent appearance on the television show America's Got Talent (AGT). For their AGT audition, band members Bethany, Joshua and Manuel (Manny) performed a passionate tribute to their late mother, getting them through to the next round on their journey toward the top spot and a million-dollar prize.
We had the opportunity to catch them earlier this month at Elizabeth Chambers Cellar in their hometown, and their performance was so captivating that we just had to see them the following night at the Tualatin Commons. The sibling trio performed several original songs which they are currently in the process of recording. They also performed several cover songs including Ed Sheeran's "Galway Girl," Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean," and what they have called their "redemption song," "Shut Up and Dance." After hearing their tribute "Heaven's Not Too Far Away" live, many in the audience, myself included, had to take a moment to dry our eyes. It's a truly powerful song that seems to resonate with everyone.
Be sure to follow them on AGT, and if you really want to experience We Three, you can see them live before they have to head back to AGT for the next round of tapings. We Three will be at Tunes on Tuesday in Newberg on July 24, Sherwood's Music On The Green on July 25, and finally at the Clatsop County Fair in Astoria on August 4.
