If you’ve got the time to take a trip out of town for your tunes, head to the foothills of the Cascade Range in Central Oregon where you’ll find the Sisters Folk Festival each September on the weekend following Labor Day. Dubbing itself “roots music from blues to bluegrass,” the nonprofit buoys a proud tradition of songwriting by bringing three days of acoustic music to Sisters since 1995.
