McMenamins Edgefield will be the host for the Oregon stop of the Rage and Rapture tour featuring Garbage and Blondie on July 12. This highly anticipated lineup sold out the beautiful outdoor venue well in advance, showing that both of these groups are still heralded for their works, past and present. Blondie is supporting their new album, Pollinator, while Garbage is still riding the wave of 2016's Strange Little Birds; however, neither would need a reason to garner support beyond the legacy they both have.
Both Blondie and Garbage rose to fame and acclaim at points in time that were not exactly ready and willing to embrace such strong feminine forces by industry standards, but the fans made their own choices about that. Many doors were opened by their perseverance, and hopefully these respective icons can continue to encourage and inspire revolutions big and small.
