Head a little east for Fourth of July this year and stop in Corbett for the community's 46th annual Independence Day festival featuring a pancake breakfast and an old-fashioned parade before the family activities, elephant ears, and (most importantly) a full day of local music kicks off on the Corbett School grounds—gates open at 11am. Come nightfall, the alcohol-free and smoke-free event will feature the only fireworks showcase in east county, which is also the third largest in the metro area!
Now for the good stuff. This year's lineup includes sets from:
Redwood Son
The Sarah Clarke Quintet (of Dirty Revival)
Kate and the Crocodiles
Jackfoolery
Island in the Sun (Weezer tribute)Maiah Wynne
Plus, other activities throughout the day include a pie eating contest, food, games, a water slide, a mechanical bull, inflatables, paddle boats, archery, human hamster balls, vendor booths, a generational queens court, a whole hog raffle, and other great entertainment for everyone!
