Singer-songwriter Jake William Capistran has been working hard to get to this point. After getting his footing with a pair of EPs that showed off his ability to write catchy yet vivid tunes, he’s set to continue his impactful narrative—and further stretch his legs—on his debut LP 'All Things Human.' Capistran’s most sonically expansive effort to date, there are horns and in-your-face political commentary, intimate brooding featuring a string section, and buoyant, feel-good singalongs (namely the aptly titled “So Good”) that’ll leave you floating, all produced by Rola Music’s Dominik Schmidt with engineer Sacha Muller at The Map Room and Dead Aunt Thelma’s. Fellow songsmiths Clara Baker and Tommy Alexander will kick off the evening sharing tunes from their own folk pop efforts (likely with a bit of twang and a touch of rock and roll, respectively), which were both released earlier this year.
