Luke Ydstie and Kati Claborn met in 2008 when they both joined Blind Pilot and have since developed a relationship that goes well beyond music. The couple, who now live in Astoria, Ore., have a 5-year-old daughter together and are set to release their sophomore record as The Hackles. ‘A Dobritch Did As A Dobritch Should’ is out November 8 on Portland’s Jealous Butcher Records, and the pair will celebrate its release on this eve with Martha Scanlan and Jon Neufeld (who also mastered the record) opening.
