In LOAD B, two generations of master lyricists and emcees contrast and connect. Featuring Mic Crenshaw and Micah Fletcher, aka Kool Chief Rocker, Crenshaw moved to Portland after being a lead figure in Midwest street wars between neo-Nazi skinheads and anti-racist youth in the ’80s and ’90s. While in 2017, Fletcher survived a deadly hate crime when he was stabbed in the neck by Jeremy Christian, turning to his poetic skills in the wake of the attacks. Together, the duo provide hard-hitting social commentary over beats produced by Theory Hazit, Trox and Prince Elwood Strickland III. For fans of Run The Jewels, Rage Against The Machine, Aesop Rock, Dead Prez and Immortal Technique, celebrate the release of their new record ‘Brink Of Distinction’ at this all-ages party from 3-5pm. Also featuring sets from local artist Wavey Josef and Minneapolis artists G.P. Jacob and Scoundrel Spence.
