In an effort to establish an educational conversation amongst musicians, Vortex, MOGO Music Festival and J-Fell Presents are hosting a panel featuring pro do-it-yourselfers from the local scene talking about recording and self-releasing music, booking creative tours, promoting it all—and more. Panelists include Simon Tam of The Slants, Jessica Boudreaux of Summer Cannibals, and Krist Krueger of Self Group. Moderated by Jason Fellman of J-Fell, the conversation will provide insight and expertise into how to be a DIY musician. The event is all ages, free and runs from 1 to 4pm. Plus, you'll also be able to score copies of Vortex's newest mag! RSVP using the Get Tickets link below.
