After a 20-year run at the recently shuttered Jimmy Mak's, the iconic drummer and bandleader has found a new home on Thursday nights. Expect an all-star lineup every week as the collective settles into the Jack London Revue's subterranean digs. Brown is Portland's jazz patriarch, bearing witness to some six decades of evolution and reinvention. And his quartet is a who's who of Northwest jazz, blues and soul players featuring the talented jazz guitarist Dan Balmer, versatile saxophonist Renato Caranto, and "Portland's boss of the B-3," Louis "King Louie" Pain.
