To celebrate the release of The Decemberists' seventh studio album, 'What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World,' Portland Mayor Charlie Hales will declare January 20 'Decemberists Day' with a free event at 2pm at City Hall. It will also feature a Decemberists performance, plus the presentation of a collaborative art piece inspired by the album, which was created by 50 local Portland artists and small businesses.
