Owner's Statement
Third Angle New Music's mission is to perform and record the masterworks of the 21st century while commissioning new works from regionally and nationally recognized composers. Based in Portland, Ore., the organization has earned abundant critical acclaim for its bold and innovative programming, high artistic standards, and committed efforts to bring music of the 20th and 21st centuries to a diverse audience. Third Angle engages notable local, national and international musicians to explore a variety of works for an array of instruments, from traditional strings to percussion to bagpipes, and even a Chinese pipa.
