Braxeling Records’ Ben Alberts (guitarist for Metropolitan Farms and The Honus Huffhines and bassist for Magnetic Health Factory) steps out on his own under the moniker Lions of the Interstate. The self-titled EP features an array of off-kilter and hypnotic pop, accentuated by garagey fuzz and infectious hooks. Joined by fellow Mag Healthers Eric O’Connor and Rich Millward, along with drummer Arturo Diaz, Alberts proves himself as a worthy songsmith in the mold of Robert Pollard, Barbara Manning and Bill Doss.
